In their September 2016 survey, Which? also reviewed other leading hearing aid retailers in the UK including Amplifon, Boots and Hidden Hearing. Against these retailers, Specsavers came in third, beaten by Boots in second place with 75% customer satisfaction and local retailers taking first place with 83% customer satisfaction.
Overall, Specsavers received three stars for appointments, staff, service, pricing, product range and facilities. Specsavers customers told Which? that the hearing test was very thorough and it was easy to obtain replacement hearing aids after loss or damage.
However, their average score might be down to reports that the hearing test was not isolated from outside noise and that continuity in care was lacking. Some customers needed to remind the audiologist to send check up reminders.
